Privacy Policy

Acumen Intelligence LLC ("Acumen Intelligence," "we," "us," or "our") operates the AI Tools platform at tools.acumen-intelligence.com (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect through the Service, how we use it, and who we share it with. It does not cover our separate marketing site at acumen-intelligence.com, which has its own privacy policy.
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Your password is never stored in plain text — it's hashed and salted before it's saved. We also record your account's plan/role, trial and subscription status, and, if you register for an account, the IP address of that request (used only to rate-limit abuse of account creation, not for tracking).
Content you provide
Using the Service means sharing content with us, which we store so your work is available across sessions:
- Conversations you have with an AI tool, and any project context you save for reuse.
- Text files or URLs you choose to upload or ingest into a conversation.
- Idea submissions and prompt customizations you save — including any free-text answers and optional links you include.
We don't currently accept file uploads beyond plain text ingestion described above.
How AI processing works
When you use an AI tool, your messages and any project context or ingested content are sent to a third-party AI model provider — either Anthropic or DeepSeek, depending on which provider is configured for your session — solely to generate a response to you. We do not use your content to train our own models, and we do not control or make representations about how these providers may use data under their own policies; review their respective privacy policies for details.
Payments
Subscription billing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — only your Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and billing status (e.g. active, canceled, renewal date) are stored on our side.
Transactional emails — password reset links and notifications about your idea submissions — are sent through Resend, a third-party email delivery service.
Cookies and local storage
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. It's httpOnly (not readable by page scripts) and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We also store your light/dark theme preference in your browser's localStorage.
Data storage and hosting
Account data, conversations, and related records are stored in Cloudflare D1, and the Service runs on Cloudflare's hosting infrastructure.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account and conversation data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact us via the main site's contact form, since this platform does not have a separate support form.
Your rights
You can update your account details from your account settings, or request access, correction, or deletion of your data as described above. We do not sell your personal information.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
